On April 9th, T&W Charity Foundation contributed funds to build the 10th T&W Hope Primary School at Manchuanguan, Shangyang County, Shangluo City, Shaanxi Province.
Shanyang County Manchuanguan T&W Hope Primary School is the 10th national (the 2nd in Shaanxi) T&W Hope Primary School funded by the Company and the Foundation and is also the largest school funded by the Foundation. The school is a town center school with 1,100 students at school presently. It is planned that a 3,545-square-meter teaching building and a 720-square-meter living building will be built. On the morning of April 9th, Chairman Wang and Foundation President Long Xiaojing went to the site of the aid construction project of Shanyang County Manchuanguan T&W Hope Primary School, investigated and surveyed the project construction planning and held a school symposium to provide specific guidance for the aid construction work. The aid construction marks that the key work of the Foundation has shifted from the previous purely poverty alleviation to the present cultivation of talents.
On that afternoon, Shenzhen T&W Charity Foundation held a signing ceremony for contributing funds to build Manchuanguan T&W Hope Primary School in the executive meeting room on the fifth floor of Shanyang County Government. Mr. Wang Dawei, Chairman & Deputy General Manager of Bandao Stock, Long Xiaojing, President of T&W Charity Foundation, Zhang Ting, Secretary-general of the Foundation, and Yang Nian'an from the Capital Construction Department of Bandao Stock attended the signing ceremony. Li Hua, Deputy Mayor of Shangluo City, Wu Chunliang, Deputy Secretary-general, Bai Fashan, Director of the Education Supervision Office, Wang Zhijun, Deputy Director of the China National Committee for the Care of Children (CNCCC), and Zhang Guoyu, CPC Shanyang County Committee Secretary, Yuan Liangshan, the head of the county, Wang Xin, Minister of Publicity Department, Wang Weiping, Deputy County Head, Wu Jianshu, Director of County CNCCC and other leaders attended the signing ceremony. The signing ceremony was hosted by Wang Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the County Party Committee and Minister of Publicity Department.
At the signing ceremony, the Foundation President Long Xiaojing gave a detailed introduction of Shenzhen Bandao Electronics Co., Ltd. and T&W Charity Foundation. Wang Weiping, Deputy County Head, reported the general situation of Shanyang Education and the preliminary planning preparation and progress of Manchuanguan T&W Hope Primary School. Wang Dawei, Chairman of the Company, donated RMB 4.5 million to Shanyang County as the funds for the aid construction. Xu Peng, Director of the County Science & Technology and Education & Sports Bureau, accepted the donation. The Foundation President Long Xiaojing, the Deputy County Head Wang Weiping, and the Director of the County CNCCC Wu Jianshu signed the donation agreement.
Chairman Mr. Wang expressed his gratitude to Shanyang County Government for its emphasis on education. He said the Company will always adhere to the corporate tenet of “developing the enterprise, cultivating talents, and giving back to the society”, with an attempt to encourage the employees of the Company to work hard and repay the society by public welfare activity practice. Besides, donation to schools is an important part of the Company’s public welfare undertakings. Donating money for building T&W Hope Primary School and holding the June 1st continuous caring activities have become a good tradition of T&W. “Cultivating talents is the fundamental basis of the country”, said Mr. Wang, “our purpose for donating funds to the hope primary schools is to train talents for the country. How to combine the advantages of the Company with the advantages of the schools and seek a mutual development between schools and the Company is a direction of our thinking and efforts. It is hoped that in the Manchuanguan T&W Hope Primary School, we can do a better job in the caring project with the focus on talent cultivation, and set an example among all the Hope Primary Schools.”
Zhang Guoyu, CPC Shanyang County Committee Secretary, on behalf of the CPC Shanyang County Committee and the county government, showed his gratitude to Shenzhen T&W Charity Foundation for its generous benevolence in donating money to schools. Li Hua, Deputy Mayor of Shangluo Municipal Government, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to Bandao Stock and T&W Charity Foundation for their love and charity behavior on behalf of Shangluo Municipal Committee and the Municipal Government, and he spoke highly of the noble sentiments of the Foundation for caring for mountainous areas and education. Such a kind of loving act brings them not only the economic support, but more importantly, the great encouragement and support from the spirit! It is hoped that Shanyang County will do a good job in the project implementation with a highly responsible spirit and a realistic and pragmatic style, and strengthen the schedule, quality, safety and fund management to ensure that the project will be completed on schedule.
