On Sep. 1st, the company signed a strategic cooperation agreement with National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center (hereafter referred to as National Innovation Center). This agreement will launch comprehensive cooperation between the company and National Innovation Center in intelligent sensor and IoT solution. Both parties would give full play to their advantages of resource complementation and make in-depth cooperation in manufacturing, packaging and testing of advanced sensor materials. At the same time, they would develop technologies and applications about IoT perception layer and connection layer, quicken the innovation and industrialization of frontier technologies about sensors and IoT, and establish a national supply chain and industrial ecology about advanced sensors.
With the development of the world technology, in the development tendency represented by industries such as IoT, 5G communication, Industrial 4.0, artificial intelligence and big data, the intelligent sensor technology with advanced sensors as the core is an important foundation for the future intelligence era. Based on mature semiconductor technology, the intelligent sensor technology has a broad application in the IoT era. Therefore, to develop the intelligent sensor technology is of vital importance in promoting the development of a new generation of information industry in China.
Guided by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center was one of the first batch of innovation centers at national level, which was settled in Shanghai in June 2018. National Innovation Center is focusing on design integration technology, advanced manufacturing and package test technology about sensors, and making layout in areas such as new materials, technologies and devices about sensors and IoT application program. In a mode of “Platform + Alliance”, it will perform generic technology R&D and industrialization together with more than 1,000 members of Sensors and IoT Industry Association of China, form a collaborative innovation mechanism integrated with “production, learning, research and application”, promote the ecological system construction about intelligent sensing, big data and artificial intelligence, drive China’s intelligent sensing industry to realize “lane-changing and overtaking” and strive to be a world-level intelligent sensor innovation center.
Now, National Innovation Center has established platforms such as 12-inch advanced sensor medium experimental line, wafer-level and packaging-level testing line and engineering technological service platform, providing engineering services and technical support for industrial chain links such as sensor design, material, equipment, manufacturing, packaging and testing.
This time, joining hands with National Innovation Center and taking advantage of its own industrial experience and layout in communication terminal, IoT product, and advanced mobile communication equipment and application, the company will develop technologies and applications about IoT perception layer and connection layer, quicken the innovation and industrialization about sensor and IoT frontier technologies, and establish a national supply chain and industrial ecology about advanced sensors.
